Webinar
Ryan Morales
Ryan was born in the Philippines but was raised in the beautiful state of Kentucky. He studies at the University of Pikeville KY College of Osteopathic Medicine and is interested in pursuing a career in neonatology.
He is passionate about health disparities and equality, advocacy, patient and family education, and social justice.
During his free time, Ryan enjoys cooking, working out, watching movies, and spending time outdoors. Fun fact, Ryan participated on ESPN’s Bracket Genius game show in 2017. He will be focused on planning and moderating this year’s Webinar series.
Jessica Mutters
Jessica Mutters is an Illinois native, who grew up in a small suburb an hour southwest of Chicago. She currently attends University of Pikeville Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine and is interested in outpatient general pediatrics.
She has a particular passion for mental health awareness, health disparities, and holistic family education. Her hobbies include reading mystery novels, watching movies, baking, and enjoying the outdoors.
A fun fact about Jessica is that she attended Blue Man Group and was an on-stage participant. She will be focused on coordinating and moderating this year’s Webinar series.
Sana Ashraf
Sana Ashraf is a New York native who grew up on Long Island. She currently attends Ross University and is interested in general pediatrics.
Her passions include adolescent medicine, mental health awareness, health equity, and social justice. Outside of medicine, she enjoys being outdoors, making her own floral arrangements, and trying new recipes. She will be part of the Webinar team.
Nichole Anderez
Nichole Anderez is a Miami, Fl. native attending Nova Southeastern University Dr. Kiran Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Her passions include improving health equity for LGBTQ+ and Latinx youth, as well as increasing minority representation in medicine and making medical education more accessible. Outside of school, Nichole loves to spend time with her family around the kitchen table. You can also find her exploring the outdoors on her kayak or hiking nature trails with her partner.
She will be part of the Webinar team, organizing and hosting the Webinar Series.
Equity
Kayla Massey
Kayla Massey is currently a fourth-year medical student and aspiring pediatrician at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, she attended Howard University for her undergraduate degree.
Kayla developed a love for pediatrics early in her matriculation through medical school and has cited her experiences with her pediatrician as a child and her volunteer work in her community growing up as inspiration. Further, throughout her time in medical school, she developed an interest in public health and equity for both patients and providers. Ultimately, she hopes to return to her hometown to practice in underserved areas and help combat health disparities.
Erica Noelle Barin
Erica is a 4th year osteopathic medical student at Touro University Nevada. She was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA and is the first in her family to graduate from college and pursue a career in medicine.
Erica’s love for pediatrics stems from helping care for her younger cousins as well as working as a youth dance instructor at her local studio. She is passionate about pediatric injury prevention and health promotion at the grassroots level, especially in underserved communities.
Erica is an avid Disney/Marvel fan, loves to cook/bake, and is always looking for her next cup of coffee. She is excited to be a part of @FuturePedsRes and help future pediatricians flourish!
Joceyln McGill

Jocelyn is originally from Bakersfield, California and is currently a 4th year MD/MPH student at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She is excited to join the best speciality and plans to apply to Categorical Pediatrics this fall.
Her interests in medicine and public health include Maternal and Child Health, health equity, academic medicine, allergy/immunology, UiM mentorship and community-centered medicine.
Outside of medicine she enjoys attending R&B concerts, creating memorable experiences with family and friends and all things basketball.
She is looking forward to working with fellow future pediatricians as one of the Equity Managers for FuturePedsRes. #PedsMatch2022
Lamyaa Mohamed
Lamyaa is an IMG graduate from University of Medical Sciences and Technology, Khartoum, Sudan where she was born and raised.
Lamyaa is a passionate Global Health advocate and is currently a PICU physician at Sudan’s only PICU. She is excited about pediatrics and equity which is why she is currently one of the awesome Equity Managers for @FuturePedsRes. She plans to apply to Categorical Pediatrics residency this fall, and hopes to match to Pediatrics Critical Care fellowship in the future, bridging the gap in ICU care with global health and underserved communities. #PedsMatch22.
Fun fact! Lamyaa plays basketball on ALL her days off of the ICU and plans to compete on a national level this winter!

Kaushik was born and raised in New Jersey and currently attends The University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences. His professional interests include MedEd, patient and family health education, and equity initiatives in pediatrics. His hobbies include playing tennis, kayaking, playing the guitar, and staying updated on the latest consumer tech innovations! He will be focusing on co-managing FPR’s Twitter presence regarding anything and everything #PedsMatch22
Sahithi Konuri

Sahithi was born in India and grew up there until she was eleven. She then made Virginia her second home, never leaving even for undergraduate or medical school. She currently attends Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, VA and is interested in general pediatrics. She has professional interests in global health disparities, medical education, and mental health awareness. Her hobbies include trying to paint, baking everything with Oreos, and dancing by herself. She will be focused on managing FPR’s presence on twitter and keeping applicants informed with updates regarding #PedsMatch22.
Chip Foust

Chip was born in Florida and spent his childhood moving around the east coast. He now calls Cleveland Ohio home and swears it has the best ice cream in the country. He attends Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences-Joplin Campus, where he spends every possible moment hiking, backpacking, or caving in the surrounding Ozark Mountain landscape.
His professional interests include public health, with specific focuses on improving physical access to physicians in underserved areas, as well as advocating for local, state, and federal funding for broadband expansion in rural areas to increase telehealth opportunities and community connectivity.
He will help run FPR’s Instagram page and plans to not only keep applicants uptodate regarding #PedsMatch22, but also try to bring to light issues affecting the pediatric field and residents.
Alisson Iturburu

Alisson was born and raised in Ecuador. She earned her MD degree from Guayaquil State University and she has been able to practice as a General physician in her country. Since medical school she has been working on projects engaging the community and raising awareness about health promotion and human rights.
Her hobbies include playing the violin, singing with passion in karaokes and learning languages. Fun fact about her: She volunteers as a children's party entertainer, dressing up as Disney characters. She will be focused on managing FRP’s presence on Instagram.

Nadia Makkoukdji
Nadia Makkoukdji is an IMG graduate from Universidad de Oriente-Anzoategui, Venezuela. Born and raised in Venezuela by Syrian parents. She is an advocate of mental health awareness, human rights, equity initiatives and medical education.
Nadia is interested in quality improvements projects and she is passionate about Pediatrics Gastroenterology. She currently volunteering in a nursing home facility.
Cooking, photography and baking high protein-low carbs desserts are few things that she finds pleasure doing. When she is outside you might find her skating, running or working out.
Tania Raygoza
Tania Raygoza is an IMG graduate from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, born and raised in California. She is currently working as a medical scribe in a family practice clinic.
Her passions are general pediatrics and helping the underserved populations, equity initiatives, and mental health awareness.
During her “free time.” (rare times since she has twin girls) she loves enjoying nature and what it has to offer and reading fiction books. She will help as a correspondence manager for FuturePedsRes making sure all those emails get to their destinations!
Design
Joni Chow
Joni Chow is a southern California native, born and raised in Pasadena, CA. She currently attends Western University of Health Sciences, COMP-Northwest in Oregon. Joni is passionate about educating others, whether it be students in the community or patients at the local free clinic. Her professional interests currently include preventative care, mental health, and lifestyle medicine. In her free time, she enjoys cycling classes and is always open to trying any kind of workout class, hiking, and exploring every aisle at Trader Joe’s. Joni will be on the design team.
Azabelle Peters
Azabelle Peters is a former military child with roots that stretch from Savannah, GA to Anchorage, AK. She currently attends Lincoln Memorial University - DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine and has been so happy to be able to call East Tennessee home. She is planning a career in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Aza is also passionate about advocating for equality and encouraging representation and respect for all minority groups in medicine. Outside of the hospital, you can find her playing with her dogs Beck and Emmy, strolling through the neighborhoods of Nashville with a chai latte in her hand, or finishing a hot yoga series. Aza will be helping FPR complete their design projects for #PedsMatch22.
Research
Burak Altintas
(he/him)
Burak Altintas is originally from Turkey. He received his M.D. from Hacettepe University Medical School in Ankara, Turkey. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland. He would like to pursue a career as a physician-scientist combining his passions for pediatrics, medical genetics and hematology/oncology. During his free time, Burak enjoys birding, art museums and hiking in the DMV area. He will be focused on the research efforts of FuturePedsRes.
Liyana Kukkadi
Liyana Kukkadi is originally from the town of Chatham, Ontario in Canada. She is entering her final year at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and is especially interested in paediatric gastroenterology. Liyana is passionate about mental health advocacy, equity initiatives and medical education. Things she enjoys doing in her spare time include writing and performing music, watching Harry Potter (for the millionth time) and reading the latest news in the field of palaeontology. A fun fact about Liyana is that she has a pet turtle named Ollie (short for Ollivander)! She is one of the co-research managers for FuturePedsRes this year.
