No fellows so there is more one on one with attendings research coordinator is available

MedStudy question bank is provided to residents for Board review
We have had approximately 50% of our graduating residents choose to do a fellowship.
LOCATION
Our patient population is more underserved but the city itself has a more diverse population
There are many excellent public and private schools in the area.
Excellent Metroparks for those who love the outdoors, cultural opportunities like Toledo Museum of Art and Toledo Symphony
Toledo Mud Hens Baseball team and Toledo Walleye Hockey team for our sports fans
There are many children's activities like the Imagination Station Children's Museum
CURRICULUM
13 blocks per year
Protected time during didactic blocks on Wed afternoons
5th Wed of a month is a wellness Wed where residents get together for fun outside of work.
We are not a covering service and there is no back up call.
Our residents participate in a night float system.
Residents on electives cross cover on the floor 2 weekends a month.
We have a New Parent/Parenting rotation that can be taken once during residency.
We have a structure, self-directed 3rd year board review rotation that can be taken in block 12 or 13 of third year.
We have a wide variety of electives. Some of our unique electives are Child Abuse, Hospice &Palliative medicine, Sports medicine, Urology, Peds ENT, Peds dentistry, Peds Anesthesia and Pain management, Peds surgery
