PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

  • Children’s Wisconsin (CW) is home for vast majority of Milwaukee area children seen in local clinics and admitted to the hospital.

  • CW is a regional/national/ international referral center with every specialty represented.

  • Resident-led committees that make a difference: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI); Advocacy; Solidarity in Medicine; Wellness; Residency Advisory Panel; Recruitment; and more

  • Mentorship: Faculty advisors, track mentors, coordinators, associate program directors, chief residents all selected based on mentoring abilities

CURRICULUM
  • Choose among 50 different Continuity Clinic sites throughout Milwaukee area including Spanish speaking only options

  • Amazing electives from A to Z (Allergy, Advocacy, Lots of specialties, Medical education, Research, and Zany creatively designed new options made by our residents)

  • Individualized Curriculum with 8 tracks (Global & Community Health, Hospitalist, Primary Care, Subspecialty & Research, Career Identification, Hybrid, Child Neurology )

DIVERSITY INITIATIVES
  • Resident led DEI committee with important role and impact in our program

  • Ongoing expansion of cultural humility curriculum
