  • 4 residents per year

  • General pediatric focus but tracks offered to support interest in fellowship or academic medicine.

LOCATION
  • Mixed population including urban, suburban, rural and Amish and international population.

  • Located 1 hour from Detroit, 1 hour from Ann Arbor and 2 hours to the Upper Peninsula.

  • Lots of hiking, local sports teams, zoos, water parts, museums and festivals in the area.

CURRICULUM
  • Community pediatric focus with emphasis on mental health

  • 13 blocks per year

  • Longitudinal Centering Parenting Experience

  • Weekly protected didactic half day

  • High fidelity simulation learning every block

DIVERSITY INITIATIVES
  • Resident have opportunity to mentor/support local underserved ethnically diverse high school students

  • Program and GME policies to encourage and monitor efficacy of recruitment for gender, racially and ethnically diverse residents and faculty
